Pool Deck Designs - Monmouth County NJ

A Pool deck is an excellent way to expand your living space. It also makes your swimming pool more attractive. You will just need the proper plan to build a pool deck and change your pool area. In this article, I will share with you some ideas about pool deck designs.

Various Pool Deck Designs

You can find different types of pool deck designs online. You just need to decide what type of deck you want to build. You will also need to consider if your chosen pool deck fits with the architecture of your home.

At first, you will need to decide if you want a freestanding structure or an attached structure. A freestanding structure stands next to pool. An attached structure connects the home and the pool. Generally, a freestanding structure is easier to build than an attached structure. Then, you may decide from the various designs.

Platform Style Deck

The name itself suggests the design of the platform style deck. This is an elevated platform adjacent to the pool.

Single Side Deck

A single side deck usually covers one end of the pool. It is usually larger than a platform. It has enough space for a few tables and chairs. This design also features a side entrance staircase. The stairs lead to the main deck space. To make your single side deck more appealing, you can add a staircase in the center instead of in the corner. The staircase should be placed in a 45-degree angle. This will make it more stylish.

All around Deck

An all around deck encircles the pool on all sides. It allows you to enter the pool from any side. This deck usually has an inset staircase that leads to a large area of floor space. It has a few feet wide walkway, which creates a nice effect. Adding a patio and grill can make this deck more functional.

Pool Deck Made with Concrete Pavers

This is easy to maintain and manage, as it is easy to remove and replace. It is also easy to clean and does not catch dirt easily. It comes in a variety of designs. So, you can choose according to your taste.

Pool Deck Made of Tiles

It tends to be a bit slippery than the deck of concrete pavers. But, it looks more attractive. This also provides a variety of choices, which makes it easier for you to choose. It is also easy to maintain, as you can replace worn out tiles by new ones.

Plastered Pool Deck

This pool deck is inexpensive, although not attractive to the eye. This only takes sand and cement to make. So, it is more economical than other type of pool decks mentioned before. A pool deck will surely enhance the beauty of your pool area. But, you need proper planning for this. I hope that my article on pool deck designs will help you in this regard.
